Volunteers at our schoolLast Thursday (30th November) students of our school had an opportunity to test their English skills in a real life situation, although it was still in the classroom. We were happy to have as guest teachers Valeria from Italy and Jherson from Spain.

Valeria gave a presentation on her country to class I A and I D. Jherson gave a presentation on his country to class I B and the English faculty class of II B and II D. Valeria and Jherson are two new volunteers, who came to spend one year in our town as part of EVS project. We are looking forward to some more lessons which are still to come.

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is part of the Erasmus + program (Action 1, Youth). EVS was created to shape young people's attitude of solidarity, promote the idea of tolerance for cultural diversity and thus strengthen social cohesion in the European Union. As part of EVS, people between the ages of 17 and 30 can spend a period of 2 to 12 months abroad, assisting in the implementation of various projects for the local community free of charge.
